Office Manager

Laurie Ann Ellul

Laurie Ann Ellul is the firm’s office manager, and the source site calls her its de facto team captain. She came from managing the office of a Long Island real estate firm, and she is often the first point of contact when you call. She is married to Joe and is the mother of Christina and John.

Legal Intern

Shaya Figueiredo

Shaya Figueiredo joined The Law Group of Charo Ezdrin through the Hofstra Law Summer Internship Program after her first year of law school in 2025, and has been with the firm ever since. Now in her final year at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, she expects to receive her Juris Doctor in May 2027. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology, with a minor in Political Science, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Working alongside the firm’s attorneys, Shaya supports every stage of its matrimonial and family law practice. She brings a fresh perspective to that work and a clear understanding of how relationships, co-parenting and family life are changing for today’s clients, including the role that technology and social media now play.

Shaya is fluent in Portuguese. Outside her legal work and studies, she can usually be found diving deep into whatever niche topic has caught her curiosity, with her cat, Feyre, by her side and Taylor Swift playing in the background.
